I think that the opening image of the multi story has a very Orwellian feel to it that may work as either an establishing image or one of oppressive repetition in which one may never find the way to escape (thus capping the series off). The image of the church and the two girls talks to me about the shifting of our society in which one is now openly flaunting 'the rules of god' that once played an overbearing role with in the ways people lived (at least in the public arena). I also like the final one, where the guys is looking up to the shining beacon of cut price consumption. Whilst we see just the hint of its offerings in the way of the 'happy meal'. He clearly doesn't seem overawed by the situation and perhaps what he will eventually end up with will match the look of desperation on his face.
